Welcome to the Random Records show, an oldies show with a difference! All the songs we play in the show would have first arrived in the Vinyl Record format, so you can expect to be hearing anything from the 50s to the early 90s when vinyl virtually disappeared as a new sales format.

The show doesn't start with a playlist, records are chosen at random from our archive. It means that you'll be getting a mixture of records that were singles or even 78s and album tracks. You'll hear songs from across the years and across many genres.

You could hear classic oldies, hits you've forgotten and even songs you've not heard before. There will be album tracks from classic artists, you'll hear old TV themes, Jazz tracks and even some Lounge and Latin. The thing is to expect the unexpected as well!

You can request songs too - however, in order to get them played, you'll need to supply a memory to go along with the song. You could also make a request from the 'Pot Luck Jukebox'. All you need to do is give us two numbers, one from 1-20 and the second from 1-1000. Then we'll play the song that corresponds with the numbers you've supplied us.

We want this show to be totally interactive, with you helping to pick the songs.

When you hear some of the songs in this show, it'll feel like welcoming home a long-lost friend.

If you're looking for a show unlike any out there, this is the one.

What They Say

Such a novel concept, being able to listen to a radio show where every record sounds different.
I like it a lot.

What a great concept this is...I was off to bed, but not now!

Remember all those songs you used to listen to and thought, why don't they get played anymore? Well here's an opportunity to get them in now...I just put him to the test, and got my request in!

This show is available to air to: mainstream radio, internet, community, non-profit & hospital radio stations.
